Hi, I'm Laura(Shih-Lei) Chen.
I was born and raised in Taiwan, currently based in Los Angeles.
I graduated with a Masters in Software Engineering from UC Irvine.

As a software engineer, I’m interested in developing end to end user-friendly applications and learning new technologies. Moreover, it's very excited for me to be involved throughout the product lifecycle to develop a product that meet user's needs. Pilates Gold APP

▪️ Pilates Gold (PG) is a mobile app developed for a Pilates program. The app provides an accessible way for seniors of the Pilates program to have a deeper understanding of Pilates and take charge of their health.

Image Recognition Web App

▪️ Developed a responsive web app that people can sign in to enter an image, and the website will detect faces in the image.
▪️ Created website that is using JavaScript and react, and the front-end used image recognition API to detect photo.
▪️ Build a server in Node.js and Express that is working with PostgreSQL, so that there’s memory for user to register and back-end will remember.
